Find answers to questions

This library can find answers to many of your questions. Whether it is for homework, to settle a bet or just because you want to know, the library has trained staff to help you.

We offer reference services in person, by phone at 967-3881, and online using the form at Ask a Librarian.

Generally local history questions are referred to the Altoona Area Historical Society.

Try one of our online databases any day, any time. Most require a login using your library card and many require a PIN. If you need to set a PIN, please stop by the library or assign one under "my account" using the online catalog. Some databases are restricted to Altoona and Rural Polk residents due to licensing agreements.
